Re: soft close door problem!!!
clean all the contacts on the door pillar & door, little rub with some fine emery, some spring out others don't, think there's 5 from memory?
Are you sure yours has the soft close fitted, Pretty sure some don't, but not sure if that's just on earlier models

You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

I took the contact block off the door pillar and and pushed a contact block together inside the door pillar. Could only just get in to reach.

Re: soft close door problem!!!
People have dealt with problems like this before. Have a search on here and see what you can find. I seem to recall that for some, it involved removing the door trim and doing something (can't remember what - old age I fear!). Also, other advice I seem to recall, that MIGHT work, is disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it.
Good luck - keep us posted. And welcome to BF

It seems to have worked with our door had no probs now for over a year. Dont know how many pins could oly just reach to push together a little. Before that we also tried sanding contacts disconecting battery but non of these worked fo us.

I tried the battery reset ,still nothing and ive only just got the bongo and its never worked, but it has electric everything surely it would have the soft close .I rented before I bought and it was an older and lower spec model you would expect mine to have this feature, Is there any spec sheets that would show the spec of my bongo.
