Screech when pressing accelerator

Well !! I suppose it must do but hardly enough to notice.. I would get back to the first garage and see what they have to say. They got it wrong and it cost you money.

Mine only ever made a noise when decelerating i.e. vacuum in the manifold.

Same here.............perhaps this is a case of a mechanic who can't tell the difference between acceleration and deceleration

Isn't that a definition of twassock?
