Does anyone know where to source Bowden Control cables for the front heater
controls, though I would find in seconds, how wrong was I,
scoured the net but can't seem to find a supplier anywhere

Have you looked at this thread http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... =3&t=26652 ( & other similar) are you sure it's not the linkages in the drivers footwell not come adrift? seems to be a common problem.

Cable has actually snapped at top end near
the z shaped connection on the wire, seen sites in the states
who will make up new cables, thought there might be someone
in the UK who could supply (missed business opportunity for someone !!)
any help appreciated.

I haven't actually looked at the cables, but lots of motorcycle dealers will make up one for you - just take the old one as a pattern.
