Re: familly fun
Aye, it was a smashing lunch/afternoon do for us. The Igor in the car park was indeed a prat but he was a source of amusement for a few minutes with his attempts to 'improve' our parking positions...
It was our Francis' first ever go at ice-skating so he was really chuffed to do that and he only took a couple of very minor tumbles. I think the perspex sheet was a good surface for him to get started on. (our youngest lad was having a nice post-lunch snooze while this was going on). We spent quite a while in the maze and the boys enjoyed running around that until we eventually got out. It was a very clear sunny day so even standing around chatting outside was enjoyable. We had to dash early to get Francis to the bowling alley in Harrogate for a birthday party so we didn't see the lights at their best in the dark but the boys still had enough time there I think as we were there before lunchtime. Nice to see you all! Jon, Christine and boys.

Wots half my windscreen doing on there?
The mystery guest reveals himself!.
We had a while working out who the tintop was. The number plate looked familiar, the 2008 Le Mans media pass in the window was a clue, should've worked it out meself.
Shame we didn't meet up for a chinwag but we had to leave at sunset, hope you bonded with some of the rest of the gang though.

When we got back only *999*** was left from the 3 parked together earlier - but an extra white one had joined the other 2 in the next row.
Only others we met were the lady and her son in the AFT next to us.
They aren't posters on here, they just look in regularly for news of what's on.

Re: familly fun
Had a great day out there, cheers for the heads-up Karen. Shame you couldn't make it but you weren't the only one. Rumour has it Peglegpete spun out on the way there, must have ended up pointing the wrong way 'cos he headed back home & Hotpot was a no show too.
The mini convoy run up with Waycar & jamie+Di was interesting . . . A bit of road rage, a little off roading & a dozen laps of the carpark at Wetherby Services bieng a few highlights.!
There were enough to make a day of it though, & some nice eye candy too (waste of money on the jetwash before we left though . . .
Looks like the walk would've been much better in the dark going from Mikes pics.
To be honest we thought it to be a touch on the naff side in daylight but cheesey enough to be funny . . .
Although two dragons in the same snap is a rare sight
Some of the chicken wire creations were pretty cool
But Mikes flamingo park was better as a night shot than this
