cold start

Having had my N reg Bongo for two weeks I now have a weird problem. When its warmed up something kicks in and it starts idling at 2000 rpm. I didnt do this when i bought it but last thurdays after having a thatcha Cat two immonbiliser fitted this started too happen. Is this just a coincidence or could it be that something is wired wrongly. If not what should I do?

it has been suggested to me that it maybe the vacuum pipes? Anyone shed any light on them please. The immobiliser fitter says it cant be anything he did but he would say that would nt he!!

easy way to eliminate the immobiliser guy...apart fromthe mob

ask him to bypass the alarm ( as if back to normal ,, if possible ,, my bro in law (auto electrics mechanic) said its possible,,,,then run the engine

if its the same then the guy is clear

and youve a problem

I'm sure there is a vacuum pipe that connects to a very brittle t-piece under the drivers seat, perhaps it's been knocked and broken off? sorry i can't be any more specific than that.

mine does this too, although its done it since i bought it. Thing is my bongo was an impulse buy and knew very little about them, so i took it as normal. a full conversion and 14 months later not one singe mechanical failure. (Touch Wood)
