One Dim Headlight.

Only noticed this evening whilst popping out for a pizza. Drivers side headlamp has dimmed considerably, arond 20% the brightness of the other. :(

Is this a symptom of imminent bulb blowing, bad earth or something more sinister?

Don't think its related to the recent new spots as they are wired through a seperate switch/relay to the main lighting system, but a puzzle all the same.

Any clues?

quick fix, put a new bulb in, nothing to lose and if its not that you then have a spare bulb. :D
if its not the bulb, then look for the sinister . :shock:

Wise words Dave. I've got a spare bulb set too - should've thought of that meself really. #-o

Take it along to an evening class and see if a spot of education does the job.

Chances are it's a bad earth, whip the connector block off for starters and clean the contacts... :wink:

Wiggling and squirting is always a good way of fixing stuff... Not nice weather for dodgy lights Mr M.... :shock:

It may return though :shock:

In which case the connectors in the plug will need a bit of a bend to help to get a decent purchase on spades on the headlight bulb, hopefully it'll last till the weather warms up though... :wink:
