news from upwood from andy and denise

frank the owner has shown them were the marque is going to go,but has reservations about the windy conditions for the weekend, not as bad as buxton, but still windy.

he has offered us the games room were he will set up a couple of tables for our jacobs join and also for our fancy dress, but it would mean we all would be obliged to use his bar,or have a good drink before you go in,upto know he hasnt mentioned that we can take our own drink in,but i will ask him in person tomorrow, but i think he is being great over this for us and i dont mind buying a few pints off him for the offer he has given us,but i cant speak for everyone.

at least if we all go for this option we will be warm and dry and not worring about the marque takin a fancy to harry,s bongo again.

would like to now what other peeps think cheers

Thanks for the 'heads up' on this one jetsta.

I've rechecked with the met office and it looks like its going to be pretty nasty.

If I can avoid it I'd prefer not to come over as I've got to drive back again to the Lakes on Friday night.....and I'm not all that confident that the marquee is going to like the weather either.

I recommennd the site owner's offer.

I'll pack the marquee in the van tomorrow morning but If you can let me know if its not needed by lunchtime it will save me the trip.

Have a great weekend...maybe see you at haigh Hall on Sunday if the weather gets better.

cheers
