This means the whole lot flexes between those two points and eventually breaks where the pipe enters the back box.
As I read it Hippotastic has noticed some "possible" mounting points for an intermediate mounting, which if fitted, could possibly eliminate the flexing that causes the breakage.
It would be interesting to know (possibly from somebody with a very low mileage bongo that still has the original factory fit system) if there is intended to be an intermediate mount that supports both ends of the back box to minimise the flex.
If that is the case, then systems that do not have an intermediate mount could well be MOT failures.
If OEM factory systems don't have it, it could be argued that are not fit for purpose either and should be MOT failures as well.
