Replacing interior cabin bulbs
Hi there,
Please could someone point me in the right direction on how to replace the interior cabin bulbs? I've sort of tried pulling the whole light unit away from the roof, thinking it's simple click in and out, but it's not coming away easily. I don't want to break anything!
Hoping to upgrade the bulbs with new LED ones, the original bulbs in there are so dull...
Muchas gracias!
PS - I'm referring to the front cabin lights.

If I remember right you squeeze a bit and pull down. Quite tight. Think I used a screwdrive on mine the first time and levered

Re: Replacing interior cabin bulbs
Assuming that you mean the lights over the rear view mirror, it comes out quite easily if you slide it to the passenger side first, then squeeze it and pull.
That said changing the bulbs to either leds or ordinary bulbs made no difference to the brightness I received from mine. My opinion is that the main culprit is that the plastic lens has clouded with age. I have not seen any replacement lenses available on the market yet.

I was thinking of the roof light in the back.

Verrily, the following image was taken in broad daylight with the bulbs that kirsty previously mentioned.
Twas just a pity they didn't last a bit longer...

I've found these as replacements:missfixit70 wrote:I did get some 9 led bulbs that were much brighter, but they only lasted about 6 monthsGot some Halfords ones in there now, not as bright, but at least somewhere to go back & complain to when they're NFG.

They mention 'Vibration resistant' which hopefully improves longevity. A little pricey though.
