Bob wrote:Traveller's Rest (at the top of the hill) has a good size car park, but is quite a walk from the village,. There is parking near the Rising Sun, on street, but off the main road, this is what I'm considering.

I haven't been in any of the pubs for years, so can't give advice on quality, although Mrs B has just today suggested 'Research'.
8) Nice one Bob, research that`s what we need  just checking on google I am smack bang in the middle
I can walk to the Travellers rest or the George and Dragon in less than 4 minutes :D Let the party begin \:D/
cheers! party on dudes.

Reckon Sue and I could be up for this meet, too - nothing too strenuous, though -
I don't do walking, especially up hills!!

Glad Haydn is coming - he can bring my new teeth!!

Just called in to Chew Valley Lake out of interest. Parking attendant's booth closed, ticket machines covered over.
Don't know if that changes at the weekend.

Pasty, Chips, beans and salad £3.95 in the snack bar/restaurant.

Save us £1.50 per Bongo, which can be invested in cider. Get you 2 pints in our newsagents.

That's a shame, Haydn - we're going the following Tuesday to the Bike Show.

Only kidding about the teeth - just too tight to spend the money outside eBay !!

I'm away at sea now for the 29th but Karen and her mum are still going and to top it all I'll be away for the whole of the NEC bike show too. Not Happy! :(

Hello.

We can come.

Is it bring a picnic? Winter BBQ or the Cafe?

Seems a bit weird to bring a camper then eat in a cafe.......... but I am new to this.
