Stainless Steel Exhausts - any recommendations please

I'd be careful Simon. Its a fair bit of pressure coming out the Bongo exhaust and - as you say - it may well shoot straight up into the Eberspacher and crud it up or worse over time. Plus once you've drilled the s/s exhaust (fun drilling s/s/ too I believe) you can't undrill it. Can't the Eberspacher just be given it's own extension either taking it over to the offside or else clipped to the exhaust for support while it heads the same way?

I was just trying to come up with a neat installation idea mike,of course the exhaust wouldn't need to be drilled should the eberspacher exhaust simply follow the bongo's exhaust route, (with ties as you suggest), but it would have been neat to have it exhausting via the bongo's exhaust. the eberspacher exhaust could simply be strapped underneath,and the end of the pipe stop a few inches short of the regular exhaust.

Matching exhaust tip & some tubing routed on the other side- possibly utilising the old exhaust in some way - you then got twin exhausts & the exhaust is then even further away from the awning side of the van. Just an idea

Thanks for the suggestions. The reason for the mod was to avoid spending a fortune on buying 3 metres of 24mm s/s exhaust pipe for the heater. Having looked again, it can be bought for about £12.50 / metre, so messing around drilling & welding the exhaust is probably not worth the hassle. It will be just as easy to run it along a similar route to the rear of the van. Nice idea Kirsty about having a second tailpipe in the other side - I'll see what I can find.

Anyway, I think I've talked myself out of that idea (with your help!)

You'd think that would work, as long as the Eberspacher is happy to have air drawn through it. I suppose that if you're confident about your s/s welding skills and have a scrap that you can weld back over the hole if the experiement fails, then maybe it's worth a try. Nothing ventured etc.

Nah - like I say, not worth the risk of screwing up a new exhaust & the heater for the sake of trying to save about £40. Thanks again for all the suggestions on the subject.
