please look at my camshaft pics and tell how they look!!!!

A lot of Japanese camshafts run directly in the head and caps without bearing shells. The caps are usually line bored and matched to the head so you can't just fit any caps to a head. The cam caps on the diesel engine aren't separately part numbered so I think the petrol could be the same design.

I could of course be talking utter tosh so it might be worth asking a Mazda garage for further info or source a complete head with cam/floowers/etc.

Have spoken with my mate and he says the engine he has is a good runner so wouldnt sell the heads from it. this is a picture under the bonnet of the mx6 as I have not seen what the bongo v6 looks like I dont know if it is the same.

Ive done some searching on tinter net and the engine type on the Bongo is CEO6D24, the only Mazda (Ford) that comes back as having the same engine in Europe is the Exedos 6? That came from a Swedish car breaking site.

the mazda exedos series were known as mx in this country like the eunos is an mx3

Jamie i picked up some skirts and a splitter last week, i was in a rush so didn't get a chance to have a butchers myself but the fella did say he had a scrap v6 engine on the floor i think it scored a piston he said he may have the heads still, infact i'm sure he has give me pm if you want i let you have his phone number plus some info on the geezer
