SOME PROGRESS AT LAST! Right then, I must admit that since I got back from Europe with my broken roof, I have been burying my head in the sand a bit, hoping that if I asked enough questions on here that it would fix itself! Decided to have a go at it today as I am getting a bit fed up of driving around with 2 bits of washing line hanging out of me roof! It suddenly dawned on me that when I initially pulled the roof down with the washing line that it clunked shut, and I still had the roof light ON, so I pulled the rope a bit more and heard the roof clunk into a locked position and the roof light went out. It's obvious really, I pressed the roof open switch, and think this probably unlocks the roof (though not certain), then carefully pulled the rope towards the rear of the vehicle, (I had previously been shy of doing this as it was ripping the roof seal) gave a great big tug and hey flippin presto, it unlocked!Hippotastic wrote:Well was I being daft, and if that did not help, how have you solved the problem? Have you solved the problem?johnnybongo wrote:Well, I can try it tomorrow and I'll let you know if you're being daft. Meanwhile ,does anyone have any contact details for Bell hill or Wheelquick please?
Can now manually get the roof up and hopefully start getting someone to look at it for me electric-wise, after I've had a poke and prod trying to do it meself (credit crunch, skint!). Any how thanks to everyone on here who's offered advice on this matter.
Oh and on the side, there's a PROPER PIMPED tin top moved onto my street, I'm really jealous, it's shiny black, tinted, smoothed back door, skirt, spoilers, and the coolest bit, it's got like a "transformers" front grill and badge. I'll try and figure out how to get pics put on here, (is it easy anyone?)
