Lots of things going wrong lately but it won't put me off my beloved Bongo. Had problems with heater control knob-only working on certain settings etc. Tried to resolder broken connections on fan resistor. Think I messed up as there was a funny smell when I first drove afterwards. Bought new fan resistor but still no joy. Checked fan spins freely by hand. Help! Is it just a fuse and if so where do you get those ones from (the ones in the main box under the bonnet?
Thanks again. Don't know what I'd do if I had'nt joined Bongo Fury.

Re: heater control
the big ones under the bonnet are called "slow blow fuses"
They can be got from good motor factors.

Re: heater control
According to my fuse diagram its a 30 amp fuse under the bonnet. I dont know how to put it on here but if you PM me with your email addy then I can send you a diagram of all the fuses in the Bongo. When I was having similar problems to you, I also changed the solenoid but it blew again almost immediately. My fan also appeared to be free when turned by hand or connected direct to the battery but an auto electrician tested the fan and said it was knackered and causing the solenoid to blow. I replaced the fan and never had any further trouble.

Re: heater control
Hi again- look under the bonnet -its the huge kinda flat plastic thing which dominates the bonnet area right next to the fuse you have just replaced. You just need to give the two cross headed plastic plugs half a turn which attach the intake to the slam panel and you can then remove the intake. That will then expose the fan which you can check for tightness etc
