Roof stuck open

I know it has been covered before but i cannot find how to manuallylower the roof.
I doi not have the owners manual so please do not redfer me to this.

obvious questions first.
is the handbrake fully on. and the gear in park?
have you pressed the release button in the roof.?
Lost without my Bongo.

Beat me to it dave,,

Also if this dont work try is disconecting the battry and then reconecting it..

:shock: Also, if it is stuck up, try disconnecting and cleaning the junction boxes under the roof (rear drivers side) and spraying them with WD 40 :wink: good luck

No one has answered the poor guys question yet (assuming he might have tried all these things) :wink:

Tried cleaning the switch contacts at the back of the handbrake under the console?
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Well said Dave, the manual doesn't cover what is basic to us, so all good points.

Where are you Adrian? Someone local could well meet you, or recomend a good, local, Bongo garage.

Otherwise it's basicaly alan keys, disconect the motors, chuck a rope over the roof and pull it down, tie to handles inside doors and drive SLOWLY to garage.
Take a torch, toilet roll, and tea bags.
