Wheel alignment/tracking figures converted into degrees

Post by dandywarhol » Tue Sep 23, 2008 3:35 pm

There's been a bit of discussion about wheel alignment on the Bongo and as most Service Centres use equipment which measures in degrees and minutes, I've converted it from linear.

The alignment has a tolerance of between -1mm (toe out) to 7mm (toe in) which equates to -5' (minutes) to 35'.

There are 60 minutes in a degree.

These converted figures are taken from the linear dimension in the pic.

I hope this clears up the misunderstanding and it can be used with any wheel size/profile :D

Dandy,

I'm going back in a couple of weeks to get my settings checked after the adjustment last weekend (part of the service Laws Tyres offer) so I'll double check what units they measure in and what their book states.

I'll post anything interesting then.

Thanks Grahame
