I would take it as minus toe in which is toe out - therefore -1 to 7mm toe in :D
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

That may be true using the gauge shown in the diagram. All tracking
systems I know of in this country, either mirror or laser type, use the
outer edge of the wheel rim as a stable reference point. This gauge,
apart from relying on the skill of the operator, is measuring on a
reference point on the outer surface of the tyre tread.

If you take a standard 15 inch wheel with standard tyres, the reference
diameter could be almost double that of using the wheel rim as the
reference, in other words, you would need to virtually cut the given
values in half to arrive at the wheel rim method which is fairly close to
the values I would have expected, without actually doing the maths.

Does this make sense, or am I still barking up the wrong tree ?.

Hi All,

I'm having the usual '50p type' flats on the circumference of tyre wear on the front 195s, same as Brorabongo reported recently.

before I decide which way to go on replacing the tyres, different breed of 195 or go to 215, I decided to get all the other bits checked out.
So I went to Laws Tyres in Aberdeen for an alignment check.

Over the phone they said that they didn't have any settings for a Bongo but when I got there they had found a listing in "Autodata 2008" which gave the setting as +1.5.
We discussed the option of setting them at 0 but I opted for the 1.5 and see how it goes. (before setting they measured at +2.5) They also adjusted for the rears being slightly out.

So still to have a good look at the shocks and rods etc.

Regards Grahame

PS Hi to Keith
I gave him a conducted tour of our Bongo as he approached me in Laws car park saying he had been thinking about getting a Bongo but had not had a close look inside one.
Hope it was of some help.

I reckon that measurement is in degrees/minutes Grahame - I've opened a new thread on the topic.
