I would have thought that 40 to 50km/h was too slow for it to engage?

50 k/30 mph is about the minimum, certainly worth trying at, say 40 mph.

Wow, fitted mine today, works a treat. I have tried with it set at 30 mph and 40 mph works great. I was amazed that it worked first time with no fiddling

Well folks, what part of the dash did you fit your control unit? I would like one of those stalk controls that Simon has.

I made up a blank to fit in the spare switch space to the right of the steering column.

It falls neatly to hand and after a while doesn't even need looking at when you use it.

On mine that is now fitted on the left where the cruise control used to be before I realised I was right handed but left eyed.

i fitted the cruise control panel to ours in the space to the left of the steering wheel-i tend to rest my hand on the gear shift and find its easy to operate from there.
the coolant alarm led is fitted to a blank on the right 8)
