Hose Clips

Post by francophile1947 » Mon Sep 08, 2008 6:31 pm

In Lidl on Thursday http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/58 ... 9-08-11-27 - are they worth getting, or are they the ones that damage the hoses?

That what I was thinking Wayne. Trouble is that the likes of Lidl and Aldi do come up with some really good items at very cheap prices - I think I'll have a look and decide when I see them

They are the rubbish ones.

If you look at the pic they are the ones where the drive slots go all the way through the metal band. The good ones have drive slots that only go half way through the metal.

I don't think thats the best type, as in they have the holes right through the band, unlike something like this......

Don't think they need to be zinc though, it's only the design I'm pointing out.

Thanks folks, I think I'll leave them.
Worryingly, they look like the ones the local Saab dealer uses in their workshop

I bought a box last year, definitely not suitable for 'real' uses.

Mine are from http://www.manflex.co.uk sourced for me from their Warrington outfit by bigdaddycain. Steve and I believe most of the North West crowd have also used them on their new silicone hoses.
