You can get a seal kit from any mazda dealer, I think bongobits may do them & I saw some on ebay a couple of days ago, £30 + £4 P&P if I remember, apparantly fairly easy to do in a nice clean enviroment, certainly looks easy to get at & remove.
Look in the factsheets, bongoclinic or toptips, I know I've seen recon ones somewhere on here. £150 rings a bell, but I may be completely wrong :?
Depending how bad - it may be worth trying some stop leak stuff, people have reported very good results with it.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Ok here is what i have found today
my local garage will charge £100 + vat for labour + recondition my rack £255+vat total around £400 guaranteed
or i can pay the £100 for the labour and send the rack myself down to Bristol for reconditioning £150+vat total around £285 the downside is that the garage would charge twice the labour if the reconditioning firm i used did not cure the leak

or i could by a seal kit from ebay for around £35 and do it myself then get the tracking done for around £60 all in

has anyone done the job themselves or do these prices seem fair?

wouldn't really recomend a second hand steering rack, they are quite prone to leaking and so you may end up doing the job twice, the rack is quite easy to remove, but obviously the vehicle will be imobile once its removed.
the leak stop stuf takes a while to work its way through the system and 2 bottles may be needed.there is some advertised on ebay that is supposed to be guaranteed or your money back.
