broken stud again

Post by davylaa » Sat Aug 23, 2008 9:42 am

 I have had no joy with broken manifold stud. Tried five garages up my way (Birmingham) and they dont want to know. Anyone out there capable of having a go. Will pay whatever within reason. I'm going to the bash at Looe so we could discuss then.

Try and find a local engineering toolroom. They will be able to sort it out, resorting to spark erosion as a last resort.

I've spoke to Dave (the owner) of Worcester Mobile Mechanics and he does a load of work for JAL Imports. He knows his stuff and always has bongos on the ramps. I've spoken to him about this recently, as I need it doing, and he assured me they do the job and it's a simple one too.

http://mobilemechanics.biz/ for all the details.

Thanks a lot for that info. Worcester's not too far for me. What a helpful lot you all are!
