About to buy new battery are we getting the right one!!

Good morning,
Bought my first Bongo yesterday WOOOO!!!
Need new battery as it does'nt hold its charge BOOOOO!!! (Tried charging at home, does'nt work, check with multimetre alternator is fine WOOO!!!)

Managed to track down a battery at Halfords which we think is the right one.

Can someone please say..... yes....buy that one...

Gonna buy a: Heavy Duty Type 072, made by Varta.

What's the Amp/Hr rating? Ideally, I believe it should be 95 or higher.

Shop around - Halfords won't be the cheapest IMO, try the tyre & battery places & motor factors.

Sorted. wen to halfords and got one... was expensive and did not work as the positive and negatives were the other way round and you cant easily move the cables in the engine to make it fit. Took the old japanese batter to a auto specialist place and they found one of similar size, they said they have the same problem finding suitable batteries for MX5's.. and I think it was 75 amps, seems to work a treat....

Hi there

In the compatable parts database a Landrover battery is listed as a fit :)
There is more stupidity than hydrogen in the universe, and it has a longer shelf life.

look for a cca of around 650 as well, bosch make one to bongo spec but cant remember number. i got one from unipart, 95amp/hr with cca 660 for around 35 quid mates rates.
