Heat pipe replacement?
Hi, my description of this pipe could be a bit off, but essentially its split, and any information on where to get a new one would be appreciated.
I noticed a leak after a strong smell of boiling water and steam. On lifting the drivers side seat its a pipe that fits into the cylinder head, about 3'4 inch wide and curves downwards with some prebent thicker pipe sections?
I have no bongo manual, hence my sketchy description. But about an inch from where it goes into the cylinder head is where it is split, just after a white clip and looks a bit perished.
Any help on this would be appreciated
Cheers Gary

Re: Heat pipe replacement?
Hi Gary, and welcome, sorry you've got probs, but hopefuly not serious. Is the pipe rubber or steel? Can you let us know where you are, 'cos it's easier to help?
The rubber hoses are available from Bongo Bits, possibly the Bongo Shop, and Forum member Flippa has developed silicon ones.

Fit a new hose and then bleed it properly. If your not happy how to bleed yourself...find a garage who know how to do it properly. Many think they can do it but many fail with dire consequences.
Re: Heat pipe replacement?
Cheers for that. Any tips on bleeding, or is it really a garage job?

Use the User Control Panel, at the top right of the forum, to add your location to your profile - it'll then show every time you postgaryb wrote:Hi Bob
