bad vibrations from front when driving

hi all as post says bad vibrations from front coming through steering wheel
it aint balacing as had new wheels 2 weeks and were fully balanced by mike at wheelqiuck before fitting them

all i can think it might be is the antiroll link bars which have only been done for 11 months i will check these tommorrow
any ideas would be gratefull

It could be that you've lost a weight or two from the wheels being balanced? If you bought the same droplinks as me from ebay, they could be goosed, the rubber on mine only lasted about 10 months, if that, but the seller did replace them without quibble when he saw the photos of them, not sure they'd contribute to the wheel wobble? Any particular speed, or all the time?

all the time it only started today and i did buy them off evilbay from ava leisure

I'd go for another balance check, see if you can see where a weight's fallen off - the stick on ones are especially temperamental, one wrong move with a pressure washer or a blast through a big puddle can take them off.

i would say the same in regards to the weights, i had the same with my alloys on the focus, one of the stick on weights had fallen off one side and the steering began to shake.

yeap, been there done that you have lost a weight

....though my personal experience has been that imbalance only really starts to show in the steering once speed is over 60 mph or so. Have I been 'lucky'

A lost weight, especially a large one, will cause vibration from very low speeds Mike - so I guess you've been lucky not to lose a large weight

Did you have the wobble before they were balanced & did having them done make it any better or worse? I get a wobble from my steering wheel & it seems to come & go almost as if both wheels have to be at a certain position relative to each other to get the imbalance. It's not so bad that I feel the need to do anything about it - just a minor issue.

Are the spigot rings fitted properly?

Did you move the bongo when you last put air in the tyres carl? This is a common bongo trait,with the bongo being a large vehicle,sometimes the airline doesn't quite reach all the way round to the other side, so if you have put air in just the front tyres,move the bongo to reach the rears, then inflate the rears,an imbalance of air (front to rear) can occur.

Have you got a set of those heavy fancy dustcaps fitted carl?

Nah, only joshing...You'll have lost a weight on one of the wheels as the others have stated!
