I am trying to change my speedo fascia following the fact sheet instructions,the problem
i am having is that i cant get the speedo needle off i tried gently prising it but it wont budge,
is there something else you need to do because i dont want to be to rough in case i break it.

wont the fascia your trying to put on slide over the needle. not sure if anyone has actually taken the needle off (but I'm probably wrong)

No i thought about that but the fact sheet says you have to prise it off.

2 teaspoon handles as levers using the little metal screws either side as a fulcrum, watch you don't lose the weights inside the needle base :wink:

just read the fact sheet, sorry didnt know the needle came off. Kirsty's tip above seems a good solution.

You can now prise the black cap from the speedo needle – taking care not to
lose the small counterweight inside. Then carefully prise off the needle itself.
8. Remove the two small screws from the faceplate itself, and remove the
faceplate. The needle stop can be removed and transferred to the new plate.
Lost without my Bongo.

Lucky you - my needle wouldn't shift no matter how big the spoons were - I had to cut the face.
