I got my bongo with an inverter fitted by my brother, he admits rushing it and it is fitted underneath the dash on the drivers side which is not very convenient.
Firstly where is the best place to fit it? (length of wires were my bro's problem)
Secondly when i have my leisure battery fitted, should i hook it up to that or keep it on the main battery and use only with the engine running?
Thanks
Tony

Re: Inverter
tony,
fasten the inverter to the big steel rail thats behind the glove box. the invetor will be accessable with a trailing lead. you can switch it on by opening the glove box and reaching in.length and thickness of wires can be a problem trying to avoid voltage drop. fasten it direct to the lb when its on, depending on the size of the inverter and the lb you might not need to have the engine running. problem can happen if you hook up to the starter bat and you foget about it, will result in flat battery.
if you drop out the glove box you will see what i mean and theres a big grommet behind the expansion vessel to fish cables through. if you end up at bls ill show you my setup.

If i do come up there then we can try the Tandem record (you game?)as i can hook up both the RS's. Well i should be able to if my mate comes thru getting the bush drilled out to 20mm.dreamwarrioruk wrote:whatever gives you that impression tony.![]()

Used to have a Heath Robinson affair that i rigged up with some rope and a couple of bits of 2x1 with holes drilled in them, i used that with the small RS towing my 7 year old in a radsails.dreamwarrioruk wrote:got my own tandem set up so were sorted. have you tandem flown before then. and what you flying at mo ive fogotten
Now i got a trickbits coupling for joining the RS speed to the small RS, haven't had a go at it yet though.
