Wet oil on the engine

Post by cabte » Fri Jul 11, 2008 4:02 pm

When i picked my bongo up a couple pf months back i was looking at the engine and noticed there was black wet oil on the engine as if it was leaking from the head.
Iv been keeping my eye on it and its still there and looks wet.
It looks like TAR
Iv been checking my oil everyday and im not loosing oil but the black oil is still there. and im not getting oil patches on the drive.
Is this something to worry about?

If it's on the OSF of the engine, it's probably from the EGR valve gubbins and is very common :D :D

As above..if it's drivers side towards the front. They nearly all have it.
No worries
