Dont forget there are alternatives to a zig including just not having one.

My battery powers a strip light, tap, cool box, dvd, phone charging etc (rarely all at the same time). I tend to run the cool box on journeys then just put it on for a couple of hours in the morning and evening and that keeps everything inside cold enough without killing the battery although I could probably get away with much more use. Running like this we have kept the battery 'in the green' for a few weekends with no problems so I am going to continue to work like this.

When I drive my battery charges automatically. When I am connected to 'electric hook up' on site (or I suppose at home but I haven't done this) then I flick my battery charger on by a switch and the battery is charged and then kept charged allowing me to run what I like.

does that mean it will not work on a 110ah?
Serious apologies and well spotted - that was a mis-type. I meant Numax 110Ah

Hi,

First post, after lurking for a long while - go easy on me!!!

"Willinton" on ebay replied to my email about the split charge kit and I have just bought one off him - he says he will be putting another up for sale on ebay on Wednesday.

Easy way to find - type bongo battery in search, then when the plastic battery holder comes up, click on it and then on view sellers other items.

We are going away with 5 teenagers (NOT all mine!) in August and via the cig sockets there will be hairdryers, hair straightners etc. and that is just the boys...

Hope this helps,

Sorrel

Well done dude. I can remember thinking I'd never suss out how to DIY fit a leisure battery, then BF member corblimey did us an Idiots Guide. Then Willinton came up with his really good kit. Very satisfying to get a result for yourself eh? =D>

Certainly made me smile when complete mikeonb4c - I had bought some wires and fuses and was going to try it myself but when I saw the kit Willington was offering I could not refuse.

This is on E-bay. 130239485983 Costs a lot less than the Willinton kit. Any ideas if it works the same way. Willinton kit is £67!

Any experience or opinion on this vs the other? Or... What's it missing?
