Hi everyone,
Got a bit of a problem with the rear air con controller, I was a bit ham fisted as the slider was stuck and yes you guessed it I snapped it. I've had a look inside it and I've broken the slider. I've tried gluing it and even trying to melt the plastic to fuse the two pieces together, both failed.
I'm not sure if this will work, but could I butcher an air con controller from another Mazda to get the small part I need, or will I need a whole new unit. It's the digital controller so I'm guessing it'll be expensive or maybe unavailable.
Thanks Steve.

Re: Rear air con controller
I think the easiest option is to get a complete replacement. There are several vans being broken of spares on ebay at the moment, so I'm sure you'll find one.

No idea what this broken bit is like, but I've had success sometimes by drilling (with a small drill bit and ideally a modellers drill or a steady hand) and pinning with a steel pin taken from hacksawed piece of a nail, the whole lot either Rapid Araldited, or superglued together. Depends if you've enough width of plastic to work with.

Hi, just guessing...
but maybe you could try using a product called Polymorph, once the temperature where it is isn't going to get higher than 60 C
It's available from Maplins:

Good Luck
