All back together again and running. The problem of getting it to start was solved by putting cooking oil in the pipe to the carbaretter, knowing that the oil was new and the need for filtering was not apparent. - Tried to start it before but the air lock created in the pump was too much for the pump to manage.
I ordered and have two spare seals (insurance in case!) Free to good home!
