window bolts

Post by David Edwards » Thu Jul 03, 2008 4:34 pm

Just a reminder peeps to check the window catch bolts, I seem to have lost two over a short period of time, the second whilst I was popping along on the old motorway to be suddenly aware of a glass type banging noise. Turns out the bolt that secures the catch to the window had dropped out and was long gone, what a fiddle to find a nut and bolt to fit the damn thing, anyone know if the real thing is available without a re mortgage to buy em.

Only ones I've seen are bongo bits - http://www.bongobits.com/Main.asp?PageN ... roduct=131 , not cheap & just for the nut  Get some from a scrapper?
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.
