Stereo Trouble

Post by Geuben » Thu Jun 26, 2008 2:28 pm

Hi all, Im trying to fit a new stereo in my parents bongo. I had it all working fine but not fitted in the dash, disconnected it and fitted it in, now it wont work :(

I have deduced that the always live connection (for the clock and memory) isnt live, it was before I started installing the stereo because I checked. I this simply just a case of a blown fuse? if so which fuse do I need to test/replace? I don't have access to the members area and don't read Japanese.

Thanks in advance.

I can't beleive you don't speak japanese! [-X

Welcome to the forum, When replacing the stereo into the aperture, watch the plugs/ISO adapter doesn't get squashed onto the bar that runs at the rear of the stereo....

Yeah i noticed that, the stereo only just fits.

I figured out which fuse it was by trial and error checking them, luckily it was the top left red 10amp one, the first one I checked.

It's only meant to just fit - it's called ISO - 'ya know, International Standards Organisation. What sort of stereos are you buying? :? 8)
