ATF Fluid
I decided to have a nosey under at the engine in my bongo today as i have a lot of toys to fit and a service to do. I checked the ATF (cold tho) and it was way above the max. When i get round to doing the service, i will be replacing it but will it do any harm to be so full?

Re: ATF Fluid
You got an innacurate reading because it was cold mr danglies, take the bongo for a good old drive, then check the level in "d" with wheels chocked, handbrake on etc.... That'll take up the "slack" in the box, and give you a more accurate reading....

Re: ATF Fluid
No probs mate...I forgot to add, check the colour/smell of the fluid too, it should be a nice clean cherry red, with no slight whiff of burning, or caramalising...
If its brown and yucky, ditch the lot, clean the filter(s?), and replace the fluid.
