Re: Heater not getting hot
Hi Simon, I tried my heater yesterday. I drove into work around 9 - and left around 5:30. When I left I switched the A/C off but put the temp up to 32 and put the fans on full (front only). It was a mild, but not a warm day. After 5 mins the cab was quite warm and after 10 minutes the cab was stifling hot.
It's a fairly efficient heater when its working properly so don't let the garage tell you otherwise.
Dave.

thanks for that, confirms that they are certainly not getting hot enough. Drove home, 45mins set on 32 last night and it got a bit warm in the cab but not stifling hot.
Cheers.

Thermostat
Unfortunatley got to take it back tomorrow to get it fitted.... one day before our holiday.
Hope this is the end of my recent bongo issues.

Re: Heater not getting hot
mmmm, back in the garage this morning to have thermostat fitted however garage have said that the Thermostat is actually working fine... They have flushed the system out though, and thats increased the temperature of the heaters. Sounds like there was just a blockage ?? bit nervous now, replacing a thermostat is a 100% thing... this solution sounds like there could be an issue.
anyway, If anyone sees me broken down between Sheffield and Exeter this weekend then please wave

Re: Heater not getting hot
Might not have been a blockage, just an airlock? What colour was the stuff they flushed out?mayk19 wrote:mmmm, back in the garage this morning to have thermostat fitted however garage have said that the Thermostat is actually working fine...
