fuel filter

Post by daveblueozzie » Sun Jun 08, 2008 11:05 pm

I was talking to the Mikes at Wheelquick the other day ,and noticed a box of injector cleaning fluid bottles, they told me every bongo they service gets this injector fluid.
They take the old fuel filter off, they then fill the new filter with the injector fluid, and then replace it back carefully, they said it is then ready primed so no stutter or misfire when starting and the jets get a good clean.
TOP TIP.

wynns is highley recomended for injector cleaner, just make sure it is the one specifically for injectors,as there is some that is to be added straight to the tank.
Mot stations use one called forte,if your vehicle fails on emissions the garage will usually put a tin of this stuff in and 10 mins later it will pass an emission test, the stuff is normally only available to the trade and is around £10 a tin,but if you know the tester he will usually sell you some.

Me too. It also makes me smile when the testers remark "can you smell that? He's running on veggie oil". No pulling the wool over their eyes
