Roof box access

Post by tomsk » Tue Jun 03, 2008 12:54 pm

May seem a trivial question.
How do you guys without a rear ladder access a roof box?
Is there a favorite lightweight stepladder you carry around for instance?

Regards

1.9 Telescopic ladder - I have had mine for well over a year now and use it a lot . The price at which it is currently being offered is IMO a bargain.I store it behind the driver's seat. Very robust / simple solution . Remember to fit a length of pipe wrap on the top rung held on by duck tape. If you do not then you will dent the side of the van when pressure is put on the ladder. My 1.9 ladder has a 150 kg weight limit sticker on it . Go for it - - -

So has mine  tucked away in one corner of the instruction sticker  .

It's neat how the release triggers work to let it down - they will only work one rung at a time in the correct order, so you can't drop the rungs down on your fingers.

No, I got the ebuyer one and bought a couple of cheap 1GB CF cards to get free delivery (or money off the CF cards).

Thanks to all who replied.
The telescopic ladder looks good, and I shall order one tomorrow.

Would a rear (terzo?) ladder actually assist in accessing the roofbox? I thought the ladders were for the windsurfer types with boards, or for ski's, canoes, or suchlike?
