Newbie

Post by Focus on Life » Sun May 25, 2008 5:05 pm

I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself as my first post was a plea for help (I bet I'm not the first though and surely wont be the last!)

I live near Rawtenstall in Rossendale and have had my Bongo for almost two years. Love it to bits even though the diesel is breaking the bank at the minute. Reading the veg oil posts with interest

If there are any other Bongo owners who live close to me, thanks for the flashes, I've seen a couple near the Asda in Rawtenstall and near Bacup

My Bongo isnt converted, I've just bought an awning and all the camping gear ready for when I get time to christen it - all the gear, no idea at the minute!

Have a nice bank holiday

i havnt had a heated discussion yet with one of them. shouldnt the countrysite be available to everyone providing they are tidy and apply common sense. ive seen messy campsites before.

Hi Focus On Life and welcome to the madness! Hope you're enjoying the bongo. We're heading up to York on Saturday for one night, if you fancy coming up in convoy with us from say somewhere like Tesco's Haslingden pm me :)

Do you have a green AFT by any chance? spotted one a few times at Asda Rawtenstall!

Absolutely right Mike, I'm embarrassed that the local wardens had nothing better to do  So where does the meaning of freedom to roam come in then in the forest of bowland.

Hi everyone and thanks for the warm welcome

I'd have loved to join you guys in York but I'm having to nurse my Bongo at the minute, its just getting me to work and back but making some cringe-making noises so I'm on the hunt for advice about spare parts and whether the problem's something my fella and his mechanic mate could tackle or whether I need a Bongo specialist? This is the first problem I've had with it so I can hardly complain but I'm clueless - but I'd love to catch up with you all at a meet sometime soon, will keep my eye out for future events to see if I can make them, thanks :)

Hotpot - the green one aint me although I think I've seen that one too - mine's a blue Friendee (I say blue, some say purple?!) with blacked out windows and an NLP advert in the back window so gimme a right big flash if you spot me - I'm only just getting used to being flashed by other Bongos so it takes me a bit of time to twig! Thanks for the offer to meet up to go on convoy somewhere, be lovely to take you up on that when I can - cheers

Cheers mobilecat, I've just been reading some other posts about the Wheelquick guys, they certainly seem to have a great reputation

Keep you posted if I manage to get over to them for a visit and a bongo-medical-consultation!

Oh no, sorry to hear about your poorly bongo shaz :(
Well as mobilecat says wheelquick seems to be the place you can't go wrong with. I'll look out for you and give you a wave if I see you and just ask if you need anything, these peeps are such a friendly and helpful bunch.
