Thanks for the kind welcome & a request for help
Hi everyone and thanks for the warm welcome.
As I've always had a man to look after my vehicles, I am pretty useless. Now that I'm on my own with The Boy, I wondered if anyone would be kind enough to let me visit them and run through a few things with me, such as which weekly/monthly/yearly checks need doing and how to do them, how to change a wheel and (dare I say it) how to put oil and water in, etc, etc, etc. I was told some of these things when I bought 'Mad Willie' but due to having an extremely irate ex-husband on the phone, I've forgotten everything.
One quick question, as I'm going camping on Monday, when I'm using the electric hook up could I use it to trickle charge my battery (if I can ever find it again) whilst still using the battery to run the lights, sink, tv, etc?
Sorry to sound like a fool, but I am willing to learn.
cheers
Pixie

Again don't worry about asking anything, even if it seems silly. We've had or bongo just over a year now, and I'm still learning.Wigan_Pixie wrote: Sorry to sound like a fool, but I am willing to learn.

If you are an early riser,I finish nights 7am tomorrow,Sunday and Monday morning,& can go home via Hindley and could call and show you the basics.
PM me your address if either morning is suitable.

and when you get back from your camping, have a look at the meeting up section and come and meet us all at a meet. You can spend hours looking at peoples bongos and asking stupid questions - the rest of us do

I'm not really in a position to help,
but I think there are 'bongo masterclasses' being run at the bongo bash this year,
on you tube there are some videos of checking oil.... because it's under the passenger seat
and I'd say checking coolant would be quite high up the list
but really you'd be better off with someone showing you...
so good luck, and have a good camping trip, the weekends nice weather is due to show up monday now I think..... so hopefully it'll be cracking the flagstones for you

Lost without my Bongo.
Re: Thanks for the kind welcome & a request for help
I wish I could make the Pendle meet tomorrow, but we're going to stay with a friend for a couple of days. I hope you all have a good time and that the weather is better than today.
take care
