Post by scottb » Thu May 08, 2008 9:04 pm

I've finally pulled myself out of the driving seat and here are the pictures of my new love.
I picked her up from wheel quick on Wednesday!
My wifey has called her Betty Berncastel Bongo or Treple B

Looks a nice clean motor old son. Alloys, centre cubby and can I make out chrome wing mirror covers and maybe even curtain behind the passenger seat?

Ignore Platty. He's a great guy but he goes psycho whenever Bongo Naming comes up

I was at Wheelquick last weekend & saw that one.

Thought it to be quite a peach & also witnessed Mike paying massive amounts of attention to making sure it was up to spec before being adopted.

Very well done Scott. 8)

I didnt realise they were alloys so that is something i have learnt. The centre cubby is so handy i love it and it makes a great arm rest. I love the chrome wing mirror covers they set the whole thing off and yes it has the curtains behind the drivers and passanger seats and curtains across the back window then all electric blinds down the sides it is so cool i just love it. The whole name thing is not my idea it is my wife i didnt realise she had named it until i just read this she uploaded all the photos for me as i am a bit crap when it comes to things like that and she wrote the thread so she is to blame for that.

Mike told me he had done a lot on it when he got it in due to the previous owner not knowing much about bongos. I am gald i went there and found this one and knew that i could be happy when purchasing one from wheel quick. I think i was in the right place at the right time. Can i just add aswell when i went down to wheel quick on tuesday i took my mum and dad with me as they were leaving ours after spending the weekend with us so they was going down the m6 so i said why dont they just jump off the m6 and come to see this bongo with us it wouldnt take long and they could jump back on the m6 and head back down south after looking with us. Anyway i had told my dad about bongos and he thought it was a good vehicle to purchase but had not shown any more intrest than that but when we got to wheel quick his face just lit up and it was like he was buying one he was asking all these questions to mike and he took mine out for a test drive and loved it. He has now arranged that when they come back from living in spain in september they are selling there car and he is getting in touch with mike and is going to get himself a bongo. Since tuesday when i have spoken to him on the phone all he has talked about is bongos and how many he has seen and what condition they are all in. So there is now someone else who has caught the bongo bug.

Hi Scott

Having bought my Bongo from Wheelquick 2 yrs ago,I have no doubts that anything wrong with yours will have been put right.

I just hope that that quote does not mean the previous owner neglected the upkeep/servicing of it which could lead to problems in the future.Get your hoses checked and if any doubts, replaced via BF member Flippa for starters.

Fingers crossed for future trouble free Bongoing

Looks great.

If you haven't read the threads on 'buckle crunch' then please do as I see car seats - and then if it affects you get Mike to sort it (he will easily).
