Was just having discussion with my tintop owning brother - can an SGL3 diesel be swapped for a V6 petrol? Anyone done it? Big job?

I don't know, but think it would be an horrendous job - the electrics for the petrol must be totally different.

Hi,

I'd second that. You'll probably find many other things are different too such as the gearbox, cooling hoses, exhaust etc. I suspect it would be difficult and expensive, probably easier to sell yours and buy a petrol one if that is what you are really after.

Not done it and wouldnt. If I was gonna go petrol I would use the rover v8 (ex buick) with the auto box. Reason, parts are cheap and LPG is not a problem. Nuff said?
