I really enjoyed that patnben - excellent photography and production! When did they put a "T" in Corpach then??

I remember speaking to you and admiring your fine "rig" at Strathyre that year. :)

Great film wish I could do that, my filming is atrocious. A few tips when we meet at Corpach would be helpful. Looks like I will have to visit all these places in your film again to make a decent recording of my visit before old age makes me too immobile.
Where about in Essex are you from Patnben? I lived in Brentwood for sixteen years while working in London before retiring to the Scottish Borders five years ago. One of my sisters still lives there just off Brook street, she has been there for over forty five years.

Well I'm sat here down in the dumps. Caught a 'flu on Friday evening and have sat in bed since, looking out at the best weekend for months. Also had to cancel the first gig since New Years. Watching your slide show cheered me up no end - better days ahead, never mind this written off weekend. What wonderful landscapes Scotland has. Incomparable.

Beautifully made production too - congrats.

I hope it's not flu Mike, or you'll be in bed for days (and days and days!!)
I thought I'd had flu many times, until I finally got it  - didn't realise what a world of difference there was between "flu" ( a really stinking cold) and the real thing - not only did I think I was dying, but I felt like I wanted to
Get well soon

Mallaig is an anti climax????? ooooooooooh, that is why you should drive there and not get the train!! OH MY! You missed the silver sands of Morar along the scenic route between arisaig and mallaig - white sandy beaches that will take your breath away even when it's pouring with rain! We went in the Beastie to Corpach this bank holiday and drove to the White Sands, had a lovely walk along the sandy beach and then had fish and chips at Mallaig!! Fresh Haddock to boot!!! ooooooooh, I can't believe you think it's an anti-climax, you have to do a bit more exploring off the beaten track [-X
It's a bit of an arduous drive on the single track road for a few miles but they are improving the road at the moment and the single track road bit isn't tooooo long.
I'll maybe make it to the Bongo Bash.....if there are any spaces left. The views from the campsite are amazing, the staff are all very friendly, its only a few miles from Fort William, and the facilities are great. I wouldn't however, recommend launching boats or canoes from here, the tide rips in and out very quickly. You maybe ok an hour either side of high water.

hehe midge forcast????? I heard that on radio 2 on monday, what a load of B***cks lol. Midges that are out during the day dont bite?? my arse lol. They especially like english blood so beware lol. The Skin so soft is rubbish, it only keeps them away for about 10 mins. JUngle formula is quite good but its not so good for sensitive skin. I heard that Nikwax has just bought out a product for mozzies - does anyone know if this is good? I find if you take a can of fly killer with you, spray it into your tent or van a couple of hours before you go to sleep that tends to sort them out. I have been out camping when they are really bad and had a midge net on my head, trousers tucked into my socks, top tucked into my trousers with gloves on drinking a bottle of water through the net lmao (I'm building up a great image of myself here lololol) What doesn't work, is trying to eat a burger through the net lol. If I come to the bash I'll try and fight em off for ya

If I don't see you there, have a great time!!!!! :D

I got an offer to join you lot for the weekend.......

Phoned the site today, to see if it was ok to come on site to visit, and was told it was no problem. I knew Mr Woody has links in Inverness, so I give the site my contact number just in case theres anything I could take down from Inverness for them.

I received a phone call later in the morning Saying that he could offer me a pitch next to youse, suitable for a large tent. I would love to take him up on it, but we have a birthday Party on the Sunday for our youngest boy, so would not manage the whole weekend. ](*,)

We were tempted, as we are hoping to receive our new tent this Monday, this one...

So I would like to thank Mr Woody for the kind offer, as I realise you don't normally except Large tents.

See you all there.....
