I've done a search on the previous posts about roofbars and most seem to talk about crossways bars (as you'd expect). I'd like to fit some lengthways bars permanently to my AFT fitting points with the aim of swapping my crossbars that I use on my Berlingo, as and when required.
Has anyone succesfully fitted lengthways bars like this? If so what did you use? I was thinking of seeing what I could get from a scrap dealer off an old estate car and do some kind of fit.

Yeh, something like that; knew I'd seen some somewhere but couldn't remeber where?!Ian wrote:Like these you mean? http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/roofrack.htm

Do you know if the Thule 755 footpack will fit on those bars?

Re: Lengthways Roofbars
You don't need footpacks. They screw straight in to the free top.

I'm looking for lengthways rails to stay on the AFT permanently so the ones you pointed me to look ideal but the other important factor is that I can transfer my Thule Crossbars from my Berlingo to the Bongo. The Thules use the 755 footpack.
With your roofrails being cylindrical I'm not sure they will work. Does anybody else have experience of using the 755 footpack with these rails?
Thanks
