a pillar trim

I think its the a pillar (the bit by the windscreen witht he grab handle)
is it easy to remove and put back? i fancy relocating my tweaters but i cant be bothered if its a lot of hassle/chance of breaking them

Yes it is easy... i fitted sensors for an alarm at the top on both sides.

Unscrew the grab handles, then loosen the rubber door seal a little, & slide the unit up & out.
The wires will drop easily down between the dash end and body, taking them where they need to go.
There is a bunch of wires already running up on both sides of the pillar. (rear washer tube on the passengers side).

Very unhappy with this forum. Just typed the stuff below and it wouldn't post because I'd been logged off. Why?

I wanted to ask if anyone had tried removing the pillar trim behind the drivers door (where the seat belt lives) . Also the offside trim panel that houses the passenger heater controls.. Reason is I want to run reversing sensor wires from rear of vehicle to a buzzer hidden in the door pillar and near to my earhole. I'm afraid of damaging the panels or their fasteners when I try it though so have put the job on hold.

I've had a similar problem of late regarding getting logged out after composing long replies & losing them completely..
I think this forum sees this as a "non activity" & in response logs out the user.
I've just learned to type faster...

Funnily enough i've noticed the two lower panels on the drivers side of my vehicle have come adrift leaving a gap between the trim on the bottom of the windows & the trim edge.
Until i can ascertain whats going on behind the panels i have put re-fixing on hold too!

Yup, my nearside rear panel has sprung a little also. Must get to grips with panel removal and replacement

Hi mike, i'd blutac the speaker on temporarily mate...the beeps from reversing sensors are pretty damn loud,if you fitted it there you'd jump a mile every time you reversed! Have a play around with various locations to the volume is at your liking....mine is situated beyond the conversion,right up near the tailgate, and is plenty loud enough...(a bit too loud really)

I`ve got the factory fitted reversing sensors and the audible warning "bong" comes from somewhere under the dash.
