battery and dash problem

hi all,lost all dash instruments and lights yesterday.this was followed by a flat battery.have changed old jap battery for uk type249.firing up no problem now,but still no dash.anyone out there know what fuse i should be looking at.cheers :?

Yep,

Try the fuse box under the bonnet next to the air intake.. third one up, 15amp mini blade fuse.. (it should say on the lid of the fuse box)
On mine it services the tail & dash lights.
Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...

just checked,fuse looks fine and tail lights are working. :(

Have you checked the connections to the back of the instrument panel?
Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...
