Bleedin' hose

Post by jgm » Fri Apr 25, 2008 2:57 pm

Having been alerted to the possibility by this forum I had a peek at the bleed hose under the passenger seat. Eek! hanging loose and almost worn through.

I haven't seen this particular hose advertised anywhere, does anyone know of a source for a suitable replacement?

thanks

There's a chap on here called Flippa - he does replacement hoses & can supply a nice new silicon bleed pipe in a range of colours.

Here's the blue bleed hose JGM... (the long one)

The pic was taken when it had just been fitted, as soon as i got home i sleeved the hose in the area where it could rest on the alternator, i just used a scrap piece of garden hose held with tie-wraps for the job....

did mine today with a 'flippa' hose, I cut a lump out of another hose as a sleeve, the one near the alternator as I damaged it removing it anyway....

interestingly, all my hoses looked ok really, in quite good condition, still nice to have done some PPM though! there wasn't any damage in the obvious locations, just getting a little hard
