Oil Capacity for Auto Gear Box and Rear Diff
I have a 2.5 TD automatic N reg Bongo. I have had a mechanic do a major service on it and we want to change the Automatic gear box oil. there is no drain plug to be found so we are going to suck the oil out. Can someone tell me the type of oil and how much t use - Also same question applies to the Rear Diff - Cheers it's a 2 wheel drive

Welcome to the madhouse
ATF is Dexron 3 and you need 4 litres - don't know about rear axle.

Rear axles oil depends on LSD or No LSD.
LSD = Limited Slip Diff.
LSD = Limited Slip Diff.

There should be a yellow sticker on the diff casing if you have an L.S.D. jamie...jamiejig wrote: - Also same question applies to the Rear Diff - Cheers it's a 2 wheel drive

I'd recommend dropping the autobox sump and cleaning the filter mesh - it tends to help the gearchanges.
