With the climate control, you program in a temperature. Where does the system measure the temperature to know when its right?

Hi, there are temp sensors built behind a small grill near the centre console, you see horizontal slats. There are probably others too.

Ah, thanks Andy I'd noticed the slats - I thought it was yet another beeper behind it!

I'll have to check to see what's behind my slats...I have wondered what they were there for... I've got the standard manual aircon... :(

I guess there must be others for the rear A/C too. Anyone seen 'em.
Its always nice to know. I used to share an office which had a divider wall built in there was a heater both sides. I could open my window and cool my side down and the poor guy in the next office sweltered as the heaters turned up to compensate.

I think I saw something on where the sensors were in the owners manual, I'll take a look later on.

I wanted to find out what the settings were, if you press the auto button it all kicks off and the AC symbol is illuminated, you can then press AC and it says AC Econ, then if you press AC again the AC symbols go out.

I am presuming AC is full air con, AC Econ is some reduced power air con, and no symbol is no air con. Be good to know though.

I bought a 12v thermostat switching unit for my electric blanket project. Its quite clear that it would be very easy to fit it to activate the aircon switch on the non-climate control Bongo if anyone wanted to try it.

The unit works a treat and is only around £8 posted. need to find a splined knob to fit the splined control pot plus you'd need to calibrate the dial - that's all

I bought mine from a UK distributor in Tyne & Wear
