cd/radio

Post by AndAndDen » Wed Apr 09, 2008 9:30 pm

Well i've taken the old cd player + cassette and radio out of the bongo I now have my cd/radio in place which fits snug. I've connected the iso adapter to the unit, Now i'me confused to which wire goes where? :? They dont seem to correspond with each other. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks you music lovers

if its a standard iso then they will only plug one way.
usually two plugs, one for power and another for the speakers.
the adapter for the mazda PC2-10-4 plugs into the existing bongo wiring and into the wiring that
comes with the stereo.
on occasions you need to rewire the plugs. andy what make is the new one

Me either :? :? don't they just plug together   i actually cut mine and soldered it in mainly cos i could'nt wait to get a connector. I did leave enough wire on the plug end to re solder the connector on if i want at a later date

The bongo is one of the only vehicles i haven't had to fit an ISO adadpter to! Mine already had one fitted, and i noticed that some wires had already been cut before they reached the adapter, so i guess those were surplus to requirements somehow? It has been on my long list of things to do to tidy up the stereo wiring, but you know how it is...as long as it's working....

Hi all, I've fitted my cd/radio, I got a two way iso adapter one side to fit the japanese plug in and the other to fit the british/european version, The only problem i have now is it wont take the bloody radio code, All i get is code wait so i wait and wait still nothing, Even though the cd player is 18 months old its never been used, I wonder if thats got anything to with the code ? :? Anyway i think i will go and do something less stressfull.
