Hi,
Help! We are new to the Bongo World and collected our lovely Bongo on Friday. We are trying to fit a new car radio and Hayden's Coolant Alarm but our Bongo has developed, after the battery was disconnected and reconnected, a beep (a bit like an alarm clock beep). It is not the door, reversing or roof beep, but something different and carries on even when the engine is on. Any ideas?
Thanks
Jenny

Thanks John,
As you may have guessed I am new to forums as well as Bongo's.
We still haven't been able to track down this warning bleep. We can't work out what else would give audible warnings?

Hmm....

I found all those beeps more than a little irritating, so i simply disconnected the relay/box behind the panel in the footwell... This leaves all but the roof beep redundant. It may be worth temporarily disconnecting this to see if the beep disappears?

it could be the roof warning bleeper that is in the pillar on the drivers side rear door,if it is open your roof 2 foot and just abve the drivers door on the rail is a small micro switch ,a temporary measure, is to put a bit of silver paper out of a ciggie box in untill you can replace it (not much from maplins ). this was my fist bit of help from this site and there is plenty more were that came from.hope this helps and also welcome and happy traveling

Hi Guys,
We've tried disconnecting the audible warnings for doors/roof/reversing etc but it doesn't make any difference. The noise carries on when driving or when stationery and the Bongo locked. The new radio has been installed and is fine.
Do the Airbags have an audible warning?
If it was an immobiliser, any idea when we could find it? Poor little Bongo Bongo is beeping away on its own at the moment and very sad

My techie partner is getting very frustrated as he can't fix it!

wonder if the new radio has been wired into the audible beep wiring, so it gives a constant feed to the beep , have you tried disconnecting the radio ?
Lost without my Bongo.

thanks, we'll try that tomorrow.
If it's any help it's single beep that changes to double beep when the ignition is switched on.
