Hi there guys,
Every time i engage drive(Auto) there is a clunk from the rear, and i am not talkin bottom burps. Is this an indication that the rear diff or drive shafts are on the way out?

Re: CLUNK
If you can get it out of Park without pressing the footbrake then you are looking at a dodgy gearboxmikeonb4c wrote:Also ( and I think someone told me this was proper practice with an auto), have your foot on the footbrake when you engage. Reduces tendency to clunk a lot (probably reduces wear over time too). I do it as a habit now

Have a quick look to see if there is a frozen chicken in the boot area, i had this phenomenon recently, following a shopping trip with over loaded bags,as a tip for the future, let the missus load the bags,as they seem to like to collect as many carrier bags as humanly possible...
More bags = less overloading
